Dog friendly, open plan, two storey luxury cottage

Forest View Cottage offers an open plan contemporary styled kitchen/dining/living area on the ground floor and a spacious double bedroom upstairs with king sized bed and separate shower room with heated towel rail. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine and pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery. There is a 49” Freeview TV in the living area and a 17” Freeview TV in the bedroom. All bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. Outside is a decked area with garden furniture and access to the large grounds. Forest View Cottage is dog friendly accepting up to two well behaved dogs (at extra cost) – with the forest just opposite The Rock there is plenty of space for exercise.  
The Rock offers plenty of car and bike parking and electric charge hook up points (at extra cost). 
The local shop is 2 miles down the road and the closest pub and restaurant is ¾ mile away. 
There are easy transport links to Gloucester, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. 
All accommodation and grounds are non-smoking. 

Price guide: £91 - 100 per night for the cottage, plus a small premium for up to two dogs (£5 per night payable on arrival)

Spacious and comfortable property. Owners friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Tranquil forest and riverside walks straight from the door. Beautiful area.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it is comfortable and well equipped, and perfectly situated to walk straight out into the Forest of Dean. We are regular visitors to Symonds Yat, and loved being able  walk through the Forest down to the River Wye and along to Symonds Yat, then to climb up to The Rock and cafe, and then walk back to the cottage - this was approximately 6 miles… There are loads of walks to be done, of differing lengths and permutations from the cottage, from a simple morning dog walk, to an all day ramble - it is a fantastic base to explore from. Sally & Anthony are kind, helpful and knowledgeable hosts, gave us plenty of tips and advice for our walks.
